Really Local Harvest Cooperative Welcomes Maxime Gauvin as Executive Director

Slow Food Cocagne Acadie Co-Founder and President Will Oversee Innovative Local Farmer Cooperative

DIEPPE, New Brunswick; January 2, 2017 – Really Local Harvest, a bustling cooperative which promotes the development of sustainable agriculture in southeastern New Brunswick, is thrilled to officially name Maxime Gauvin as its new Executive Director.

Maxime, who had been Community Schools Coordinator at District scolaire francophone Sud, will be be managing and increasing Really Local Harvest’s stake in the community, its passion for supporting local growers and producers, and in promoting sustainable practices. Mr. Gauvin says he’s “extremely excited to spearhead this drive and is ready to hit the ground running!”.

“We are really happy to have Maxime lead our team. Considering his experience, he really was the perfect fit,” noted Alyson Chisholm , President of Really Local Harvest Cooperative. She continued, ”His engagement in our community will be a huge asset to the Cooperative, our network, and our members. It’s really exciting!”

As well as Really Local Harvest Cooperative, Maxime is co-founder and President of Slow Food Cocagne Acadie, New Brunswick’s first Slow Food convivium. There, he helped spark a local love for our food, where it comes from, how it tastes and how our food choices affect the rest of the world.

He and his fiancée Sarah live in Grande-Digue, NB.
